What is integrative therapy?

As an integrative therapist, I can draw on all the key "talking-therapy" techniques. An integrative approach means that I am not wedded particularly to any one therapeutic approach.

Typical therapeutic approaches include: Person-Centered Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapies, Jungian approaches, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Existential Therapy and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapies.

Although I am trained in all of these approaches, my focus is to use whatever approach or combination of approaches works best with a particular client or issue.

"We can communicate much better now, that means we listen to each other and not just shout! ...the experience of being in therapy allowed me to experience and react to things in a totally new way."

Why continue to suffer?

Psychotherapy and counselling are proven and powerful ways to alleviate emotional stress and pain. My approach is to listen. To put you, the client in control and at the centre.

It may seem a long way off now, but positive change really is possible...

Can therapy really help?

Yes it can. I believe in the power of one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy because I've witnessed it help so many people with different issues.

Hypnotherapy

The hypnotic state is a perfectly natural one, which we all experience many times a day. However, as a therapeutic tool in the right hands, it can effect powerful change very quickly for some issues. Oh, and don't worry, you are always aware and in control.
